Statement

This work evolved using the technique of collagraphy. There is an exploration in materials and a surface tension when layered in a spontaneous and intuitive manner. James provides a topographical interpretation of identity in a disposable society. The human form embodies the landscape, as the artist searches and maps out feelings from the subconscious, and in its manner the connection between land and consumerism are contemplated.
